Mabey Ski is teaming up with Niseko Photography to support Protect Our Winters…

For those who like to push the boundaries, Mabey Ski has teamed up with Niseko Photography to offer adventure seekers a taste of the unexpected, whilst raising awareness for Protect Our Winters (POW). From hiking amongst dormant lava domes to off-piste powder touring, Hokkaido’s unchartered backcountry is where you’ll discover a whole new side of Japan, in all its majestic glory.

This challenge will test you physically, mentally and emotionally

Experience the real heartbeat of Niseko and its surrounds as you prepare for an expedition that will take you beyond the extreme. Expert guides will take you on a journey of discovery, traversing through untracked powder and some of the best tree skiing and snowboarding in the world.

Hike to the top of Annupuri Peak, before embarking on a day of thrill-seeking backcountry trails, including the steep open faces of Shiribetsu (Niseko’s third highest mountain) and Mt Yotei, the tallest of Niseko’s volcanos. If the weather permits, you’ll even get the chance to ski or board into its crater.

POW is the leading climate advocacy group for the winter sports community…

Founded by professional snowboarder Jeremy Jones in 2007, Protect Our Winters turns passionate outdoor people into effective climate advocates. POW leads a community of athletes, thought pioneers and forward-thinking business leaders to affect systemic solutions to climate change.

Mabey Ski is making it their mission to help POW ensure our winters are here for many generations to come - climate change is already happening, so it’s time to act now.
