If you’re looking for the ultimate backcountry experience to celebrate a special occasion, or just want to turn the comfort level up a notch, this one’s for you.

After heli-dropping into a remote backcountry area, you'll head out with your ACMG guide to explore the vast terrain on skis. After a full day of skiing fresh tracks, you'll ski back to basecamp – now set up with sleeping quarters, a communal canvas tent, and outdoor dining area – where you'll be greeted with a glass of bubbles.

With access to Crown land in partnership with Black Tusk Aviation and Blackcomb Helicopters, our guides are able to select terrain within the Squamish-Lillooet region best suited to the weather, snow conditions and type of terrain you are looking to ski or board.

For adventurous skiers and boarders celebrating a special occasion or looking for a backcountry experience with a difference. The ski terrain can be tailored to different ski and fitness levels, and the levels of comfort can be turned all the way up depending on budget. A massage looking out over endless snowcapped mountains in the remote backcountry? Why not!

This trip can run any time between December and May, however if you're looking for alfresco snow table dining and après ski celebrations March – May offers the most reliable weather, longer evenings and the temperatures tend to be a little warmer making for a more enjoyable time out in the backcountry.

We returned from our day skiing down into camp where tents had been prepped and we were met with a glass of bubbles. All round a trip of a lifetime with ace people and a great ski touring experience!!!

First class operation. It was fun, relaxed, very well organized and professional. Our guide was amazing. This was my first time touring, and I felt welcome from the first moment. Absolutely loved the aprés experience too. Can't say enough about what a great time I had.

Amazing trip! Heli drop into base camp for a weekend of great spring skiing with blue skies. Fantastic guide. The whole trip was very well organized - especially the apres drinks served the moment we finished the last run! Thank you Mabey Ski!

Amazing backcountry experience with Nickie and Ben in the Squamish backcountry!! Two fabulous days exploring and touring glaciers along with a luxury camping experience!!

You meet your hosts and guide at the heliport, excitement levels rising as you spy your helicopter in the distance. Gourmet sandwiches are handed out, and you listen closely as the pilot goes through the safety briefing. It’s time to load the heli, geared up with ski boots on and helmets at the ready, prepped for fresh tracks on the other side. You fly over mighty glaciers, remote lakes, dense forests and never-ending snowcapped mountains, before landing at your chosen basecamp location.

Whilst your hosts start unpacking the gear, your guide leads you out to the first ridgeline, breaking trail as you follow in their tracks. You discuss various risks and route-finding techniques as you ascend towards objective one – the warmup lap. Before you know it you’re ripping your skins off and getting ready for the first descent of the day. You ski one at a time, whooping as you struggle to contain your excitement making your mark on the pristine coastal powder. You re-group at the bottom, adrenaline pumping, and take a look around you. Everything is so still and peaceful. Nothing but your group and endless mountain views – you mentally capture this moment and take a well-deserved breather before heading up for run two, something a little steeper this time.

After picking up a bit more pace on the second and third laps, you stop for your alpine picnic lunch, recounting the morning’s epic powder runs. You discuss the afternoon’s action plan and get back to it. Three more laps of fresh tracks, before you ski back to basecamp together as a group – you spy a ‘snow bar’ on your way down, and before you have time to click out of your skis there’s a glass of bubbles in your hand, and you’re toasting to an awesome day out in the backcountry. You scan your eyes around the rest of the basecamp and notice your hosts have been busy – tents have been carefully erected, a beautiful round table has been carved out of snow, and a communal canvas bell tent.

You swap your ski boots for something a little more comfy and make your way to the snow table where you tuck into your cheese and charcuterie board. You sit back and relax, recalling the funniest fall and best turns of the day. One of your friends gets a game of ‘pop lacrosse’ going in the snow, whilst the tunes are playing and rosé is flowing. You hear the sizzling of the BBQ firing up, and not before long it’s time to sit back down at the snow table and tuck into this evening’s feast.

Fully carb-loaded, you watch the sun gently fall down behind the yellow tents where you’ll be sleeping later tonight. You feel the temperature drop a little and make your way over to the communal bell tent, where one of the hosts has fired up the wood-burning stove. You put on an extra puffy layer to keep you warm and cozy up around the fire. Fatigue soon kicks in and it’s time to hit the hay. You say your goodnights and tuck yourself into your cozy sleeping bag, preparing yourself for the views out of your tent window tomorrow morning.

After a surprisingly pleasant sleep, you wake to the morning sun and unzip the front of your tent – the same views you saw yesterday seem even more idyllic this morning. You layer up and head over to the snow table, where steaming coffee and tea is waiting. The group slowly wakes up one-by-one and a cooked breakfast is prepared by your host. After tucking into seconds, snacks and sandwiches are handed out ready for another day of touring and fresh tracks.
