Sail through the magnificent Norwegian fjords aboard your 48ft catamaran, captained by the knowledgeable Håkon, who has been sailing the waters of the Lyngen Alps since he was a boy. By day, you will summit breathtakingly scenic mountains with your professional guide and ski back down to the glistening sea below on northern Norway’s perfect spring snow. As you sail to your new mooring each day, keep an eye out for the friendly locals – in the form of orcas, humpbacks, grey seals, and eagles!
Spend your evenings enjoying après ski onboard, whilst soaking up the ambiance of the rustic surroundings. Take a refreshing plunge in the crisp arctic waters after unwinding in a Scandinavian sauna and savour the invigorating sensation that only the Norwegians truly understand. Cast your line and catch fresh seafood for dinner. And if the heavens are clear, gaze up and behold the breath-taking Northern Lights – a mystical phenomenon that you will remember forever.

Staying on a 48ft "floating hotel", you will tour around the most spectacular peaks in Norway's Lyngen Alps with your captain and guide. Spend 5 days ski touring some of the most scenic backcountry terrain on the planet. Expect (mostly) calm waters, spectacular wildlife encounters and a whole lot of fun with your fellow skiers/snowboarders.
Flying into Tromsø you will take a short 10 minute taxi to the city where you will spend a night at a 4-star hotel right next to the harbour. The following morning you will then embark on your voyage into the Lyngen Alps, where you will spend the next 5 nights. Your final night will be spent back at the hotel in Tromsø to maximise your time onboard and on the mountain.
Advanced:
You should have a good level of fitness and be able to hike up to 1000 vertical metres per day. It is preferred that you have previous ski touring experience and a good level of ski experience.
Expert:
You should have a strong level of fitness and be able to hike up to 1500 vertical metres per day. It is recommended that you have at least 10 days of ski touring experience and enjoy skiing steeper terrain.
Expect to spend 4-7 hours per day going uphill and skiing back down. The terrain will be chosen according to the group's ability and preferences – there is something for everyone, from open mellow bowls to steep, challenging couloirs. Our sail and ski trips are exclusive for just 6 guests.

Life on the Boat
Your heated 48-ft catamaran is equipped with 3 double occupancy guest cabins, 4 toilets with showers, storage area and a kitchen where evening meals will be prepared each day. The lounge is the real gem on this vessel, with ample seating, space and 360-degree views of your surroundings. You can also relax outside on the trampoline when the weather is nice. Your captain, Håkon, is an expert sailor and fully certified captain, having worked his entire live at sea (previously as a fisherman in the Barents Sea). He has a wealth of knowledge on the local area, and has a lot of stories to tell (when prompted!).
Ski Terrain
With 5 full days of skiing/snowboarding, you will have the opportunity to ski four of the best backcountry regions in the country; Ringvassoy, Nordlenangen, Lynge and Uløya. Weaving in and out of the islands and fjords, there is no shortage of incredible views of both mountains and sea. The small group of 6 will be led by a professional mountain guide who will will tailor the days to the ability and objectives of the group – from open bowls and gentle meadows to steep chutes and couloirs, there’s a little something for everyone. This time of year usually provides more reliable weather with longer day light hours, perfect for spring skiing and uphill travel.
